O'Bryan's Tower, County Clare, Ireland

Believe it or not, I have not forgotten about getting my travel pics set to disc. Lacking time and space (and some connecting cords to the scanner) I have taken the negatives from my trip to Ireland in to a local camera shop to be scanned. Over time I will get batches done from other other trips as I can afford it.
I enjoyed 2 weeks on the west coast of Ireland back in 1996. Some days the weather was fantastic although the day in this shot clearly was not one of those days! But my friend and I still enjoyed a fun trip to check out the clifffs of Moher along the coast. The cliffs rise almost 700 feet sheer above the ocean and they extend about 8 kilometres or so. This picture is of O'Bryan's tower, which was built in 1885 as a lookout point for the tourists. (I'm not joking, even 124 years ago this place was a popular tourism spot!) At that time the tower was closed but I understand it has undergone restorations and you can go inside now.
