The Cliffs of Moher, County Clare, Ireland

Even on a misty day the view was wonderful and the roar of the waves was nothing short of amazing! The cliff area itself is designated as a wildlife preserve home to a variety of seabirds and other creatures. There are even wild goats although I did not see any.

I have to admit though, that standing out along the edge of the cliffs wreathed in fog and mist, it is no effort at all to let your imagination run wild with ideas of secret caves and mysterious people on crazy adventures. When I think of my time in Ireland, I always come back to this wild and beautiful place in my mind. I think it resonated with me on a different kind of level than the other places I visited.
